After battling and installing it on several systems, I finally upgraded my main system so that I can actually click on a page within Firefox and have it open immediately instead of a few minutes later, ya that was awesome. Best thing, cost less than 300 bucks to simply replace the motherboard, processor, and ram. Actually with the new system, I got a built in video card (but have to PCI-E slots for crossfire vidcards if I want later), so I was able to ditch the agp vidcard, pci soundcard, and pci nic. So the system has 3 drives (2 1tb & 1 2tb) and it’s rocking, running all the crap I can through at it. Obviously, this isn’t running any new games but it will work for me since I haven’t found I game I can’t walk away from.
New specs are:
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Kingston 2 2gig sticks of pc1333 ram.
So glad to have a system that runs reliably and fast again.
